Mihai is in charge of Jlaw’s corporate and commercial legal matters. Also, he is heavily involved in all GDPR audits and projects related to personal data protection.

He is an experienced and meticulous lawyer, having acted in the last 14 years for both international and local clients in various mandates such as cross-border M&A transactions, IT and personal data protection, financing, due diligence investigations and complex contract negotiations.

He is also a respected insolvency practitioner, with extensive experience in insolvency files. He has been involved in assistance offered to both creditors seeking the recovery of their receivables against insolvent debtors, as well as to companies in financial distress seeking an activity turnaround. His assistance included, among others, client representation in court and before the official receiver, representation within general meeting of creditors, strategic and specific advice, etc.

Before joining Jlaw, Mihai was a senior associate with Eversheds Lina & Guia, the corresponding Romanian law firm of Eversheds. Previously, he was a lawyer with a Linklaters spin-off law firm and with the legal arm of KPMG Romania. He is a member of the Bucharest Bar and of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners.

Mihai is fluent in English, French and Italian.

In his spare time, he enjoys movies, jazz music and swimming.

He is a dedicated father to Nadia.
